FROM MY WORLD

Would You Buy from the Desperate Guy at the Bar?

Ever notice how the people who try the hardest to impress you… never do?

You see it all the time. The desperate guy in the bar who buys drinks for every woman, hoping anyone will talk to him. The pushy salesperson who floods your inbox with messages, begging for a call. The marketer who shows up in your DMs, pleading for a sale.

It’s cringe. And worse? It doesn’t work.

That’s exactly what I used to do in my early days of online marketing. I begged for business. I knocked on virtual and literal doors, hoping someone would give me a chance. And guess what? No one respected me. No one saw me as an authority.

Because I wasn’t acting like one.

Then I came across a game-changing quote from Perry Marshall:

“I was trying to be an authority, but me knocking on their door positioned me as a beggar.”

Damn!

That hit me like a truck.

Because it explained exactly why I wasn’t making money. I was showing up like a desperate loser instead of someone who had something valuable to offer.

So I flipped the script.

Instead of begging for sales, I made people apply to work with me. I put barriers in place—filters, emails, application forms—so that by the time someone got to me, they knew they had to prove they were worth my time.

And guess what?

I started closing deals like never before. And not just any deals—high-quality deals with great clients who took action and got results.

See, authority isn’t about how much you know. It’s about how you show up. And the moment you stop acting like you need your prospects more than they need you… that’s when you become the prize.

So, are you positioning yourself like the desperate guy in the bar? Or are you making your customers work to earn the right to do business with you?

Your bank account already knows the answer.

MINDSET MAKEOVER

How to Break Free from the “Someday” Mindset

Let’s talk about one of the biggest lies in the online business world.

It’s the idea that there’s some secret shortcut to success.

People waste years jumping from business to business, from mentor to mentor, from “opportunity” to “opportunity,” convinced that if they just find the right one, they’ll strike gold.

They think:

  •  Maybe it’s the company I joined.

  •  Maybe it’s the compensation plan.

  •  Maybe it’s my upline.

No. It’s YOU.

Every successful person in this industry has one thing in common: they stop making excuses.

At some point, they look in the mirror and realize:

  •  No one is coming to save them.

  •  No “secret” is going to do the work for them.

  •  The only way to win is to get serious, commit, and do the damn work.

This is exactly what changed everything for me.

I used to think money was magically attracted to certain people. Like they had some hidden knowledge I didn’t. But when I finally started surrounding myself with people who were making the kind of money I wanted, I realized the truth…

  •  They weren’t jumping from opportunity to opportunity.

  •  They weren’t blaming the system, the economy, or their sponsor.

  •  They weren’t treating success like a scratch-off lottery ticket.

They were all in. They invested in their education, took massive action, and stuck with it even when things got hard.

Want to succeed? Then compress your time.

Instead of wasting hours on Netflix, social media, or doom-scrolling, do this:

  •  Listen to audiobooks while driving.

  •  Read personal development books instead of mindless news.

  •  Use gym time to feed your brain with success principles.

The system is broken. Schools teach people to rack up debt and work 40 years just to retire broke.

The real shortcut to financial freedom? Taking full responsibility for your results.

So, are you still searching for the "secret"? Or are you ready to become the kind of person who succeeds?

CURATED READS

Master the Ultimate Business Skill—Negotiation

Most people negotiate like amateurs. They either cave too easily or get aggressive and scare the other person off. Either way, they leave money on the table—a lot of it.

Enter Never Split the Difference by Christopher Voss, a former FBI hostage negotiator who spent years negotiating with terrorists, kidnappers, and bank robbers.

Yeah… this guy wasn’t haggling over a used car.

In this book, Voss reveals the psychological tactics that got criminals to surrender, and how those same techniques can help you win negotiations in business, sales, and everyday life.

You’ll learn:

How to get what you want—without being pushy or aggressive.

  • Why “compromise” is a losing strategy.

  • The #1 mistake people make in negotiations (and how to avoid it).

  • How to control conversations with tactical empathy (this one is a game-changer).

If you’re in sales, business, or just want to stop getting screwed in deals, this book is non-negotiable.

Read it. Master it. Profit from it.
