FROM MY WORLD
Why Social Media Made Me Feel Rich
When I was 18, I spent an entire year trying to look successful on MySpace while selling a $10-per-month website through Global Domains International, and I was absolutely convinced social media was going to be my breakthrough.
I didnβt just βtryβ it. I went all in.
I bought software that automatically created profiles for me. Iβd sit in front of my computer at night, typing in fresh email addresses so the system could spin up new accounts with my real photos and a long, dramatic bio about how I was building my future online. I modeled it after the big MLM guys at the time, trying to sound powerful, established, important. Eventually I created about 50 profiles, then moved on from Myspace to Facebook when everyone else did, and even invested in software that blasted posts across hundreds of accounts automatically.
On paper, I was everywhere.
In reality, I couldnβt sell a $10 product.
And thatβs the part that stings, because people spend more than that on coffee without thinking twice. I genuinely believed that if I just built more profiles, posted more updates, messaged more strangers, and βbuilt momentum,β something would eventually click. My mentor even encouraged it, telling me results would come if I just kept going. So I kept going. For a full year.
Nothing meaningful happened.
Thatβs when I finally realized something that most beginners donβt want to accept: nobody goes on social media to buy anything. They go there to scroll, to procrastinate, to escape from whatever important task theyβre avoiding. I know that because I catch myself doing the exact same thing.
The shift came when I stopped treating social media like a hunting ground and started treating it like a billboard. I focused on building an email list first through paid traffic, where people actually show intent, and then used social platforms as reinforcement instead of the main engine. Email became the king of the business, and social media became the supporting act.
That single mindset flip changed everything for me.
So before you spend another week chasing strangers in DMs, ask yourself one hard question:
Are you trying to look busy⦠or are you building a real asset?

β SMILE, THEN SCROLL

THE INSIDER DEAL
15 Years Ago I Fired My Last Boss. To Celebrate, Make It Your Turn.
Fifteen years ago, I walked out of that cramped security box for the last time.
My supervisor Sergey called to let me know. I said "Yeah, I understand" and hung up.
That was the last day I had a real βjobβ....Β
The last time I asked permission to take a day off. The last time someone else controlled my schedule or my income.
Soon after, Anastasiya quit her job. I'd been asking her to quit for months anyway.
That's what financial freedom actually looks like.
Youβve tried to do the same, taken some steps and maybe bought a courseβ¦Β
But you're still showing up to that job, answering to people who don't appreciate you, wondering when it's finally going to click for you as it did for me.
So to celebrate 15 years of never answering to a boss, I'm giving you the system that made it possible, the 1-Click List Machine, for 50% off using the coupon code MYTURN.
This is an automated list-building system you can install in just one click. The capture pages, email sequences, and income streams are already built. You just activate it and start collecting subscribers.
And now it's your turn to fire your boss.
This deal ends soon, so I urge you to claim it while you can.

MINDSET MAKEOVER
Are You Planting Fruit Trees?
Most people think the goal is to get subscribers so they can eventually make sales.
That sounds logical. Itβs also why they stay broke.
Iβve heard it a thousand times: βIf I can just grow my list, the money will come.β So they grind for opt-ins. They celebrate free downloads. They obsess over subscriber counts like itβs a scoreboard. But hereβs the part nobody wants to calculate β subscribers are cheap. Buyers are rare.
I once built a buyer list of 300 people by giving away 100% commission on a $297 product. Not 50%. Not 80%. A full 100%. I didnβt care about the front-end money because I wasnβt trying to make a sale.
I was trying to acquire a customer.
Thereβs a massive difference.
When someone pulls out a credit card and spends real money with you, even if an affiliate keeps every dollar, youβve gained something far more valuable than a free subscriber. Youβve gained a proven buyer. And proven buyers are the ones who later invest $1,000β¦ $3,000β¦ sometimes $15,000.
Subscribers cost attention. Buyers signal commitment.
Thatβs why most people struggle β theyβre chasing volume instead of planting fruit trees that brings more value.
So hereβs the uncomfortable challenge:
What if you stopped trying to get people on your list⦠and started structuring everything around creating buyers first?

FOR YOUR LISTENING PLEASURE
The Unspoken Realities of Success With Tom Wang
He built a skincare brand from scratch, scaled it past $4 million in annual revenue, and sold it in December 2020. On paper, thatβs the dream.
Then he woke up one morning, and the world didnβt feel real.
On this episode, I sit down with Tom Wang β an immigrant from China who grew up poor in Canada, built a multi-million-dollar eCommerce brand, and then hit something most entrepreneurs never talk about: the emotional crash after βwinning.β He shares what happened after the exit, why success didnβt solve what he thought it would, and how chasing status symbols only added anxiety instead of peace.
At one point, he said something that stuck with me: money solved his financial problems β but exposed everything else.
If youβve ever thought, βOnce I hit X dollars, everything will feel right,β this conversation might save you a few years.

CURATED READS
The Rebelβs Guide to Email Marketing by DJ Waldow & Jason Falls
This one hit me because it challenges the polite, corporate version of email most businesses hide behind.
The Rebel's Guide to Email Marketing isnβt about templates or fancy automation flows. Itβs about treating email like a real conversation instead of a brochure. Waldow and Falls push back on the idea that email should feel βprofessionalβ and remind you that personality beats polish every time.
What stuck with me is this: people donβt unsubscribe from value β they unsubscribe from boredom.
If your emails sound like they were approved by a committee, this book will make you uncomfortable in a good way.
Write like a human. Or donβt expect humans to read it.
