Let’s get real for a second.
Everywhere you look, people love talking about "averages."
What’s the average conversion rate? What’s the average success rate? What’s the average income in this industry?
It drives me nuts.
Because "average" is just a fancy word for mediocre—and mediocrity is a disease.
Take my own life as an example.
For the last eight years, I’ve been sitting behind a desk, running my business, hammering out emails, building traffic campaigns... and I got hit with crippling lower back pain.
It sucked. I could barely move without feeling like an old man.
So I found a chiropractor—a no-BS, ex-Soviet military guy—who started twisting and turning me like a Rubik’s Cube.
I show up to my first class, and I see a bunch of people who’ve been there for six months—still barely moving.
My first thought? "Oh, hell no. That’s not going to be me."
And you know what the doc told me?
"You’re going to heal way faster because these people started from way worse places. Some were in wheelchairs. Some had brutal accidents. You’re different. Your results will be different."
Boom. That hit me hard.
And it’s the same damn thing in business.
Most people fail at list building. Most people suck at email marketing. Most people are terrified of paid traffic.
But that’s a tendency—not a destiny.
You don’t have to be like them.
Most people approach their business the same way those back pain patients approach their exercises—half-assed, distracted, and just going through the motions.
But the people who win? They show up with intensity. They apply themselves. They put in the reps.
So if you’ve ever looked at me, or Ben Settle, or Doberman Dan, or any other "guru" and thought, "Damn, I want that success NOW"...
I get it. But the truth is, you can’t shortcut the process.
Success is earned through skills, habits, and experience. You can’t "skip the line" to making 10K per month until your inner game is worth 10K per month.
And the people who become successful? They don’t listen to "averages."
They decide that they’ll be the exception.
So here’s my challenge to you:
Will you settle for being "average"?
Or will you break the tendency and create your damn destiny?
