FROM MY WORLD

Burnout Is a Math Problem

I used to think burnout meant sleep. Shut it down, crawl into bed, disappear for a day or two.

Sleep is important, no question. It’s the best legal drug out there. But if you’re already sleeping well, burnout doesn’t go away just by lying around and doing nothing.

Here’s what I noticed instead. Every day is full of things that either drain you or fuel you. Taking my son to football practice fuels me. Sitting at a birthday party for three hours, pretending I care about small talk with people I’ll never see again? That drains me fast.

When I feel burned out, I don’t try to rest more. I just cut out the things that drain me. I try to fill my day with things that give me energy. Writing is one of those things. Even when I don’t have to write, I still do it because it gives me energy. Playing football with my son does the same. Some people give me energy too. Others, not at all.

But if you want to kill your energy fast, just start scrolling.

If you’re burned out and stuck to your screen, you’re just making it worse. Social media, email, endless content—it all seems harmless, but it drains you without you noticing.

What actually works is switching the activity and the environment. Sometimes that means just going for a walk. Sometimes it’s moving your body until your mind finally quiets down. Sometimes it’s just a few hours alone, no phone, nobody asking for anything. For me, I reset when I can just be alone with my thoughts for a while.

But there’s another part most people don’t want to deal with. Burnout isn’t just about your body. Most of it is in your head. Maybe it’s resentment you never talked about. Maybe it’s a boundary you should have set but didn’t. Maybe it’s a conflict you keep avoiding. Those things drain you way more than any long workday.

If you close just one of those loops, it’s crazy how much lighter you feel. It’s like someone took a heavy backpack off your shoulders.

Most of the time, burnout isn’t about not resting enough. It’s about things you haven’t dealt with.

So today, cut out one thing that drains you and do one thing that gives you energy. Then ask yourself what you’ve been avoiding or putting off—and just handle that one thing.

MY GIFT FOR YOU

The Traffic Source That Delivers 500+ Quality Leads Every Single Day

Most people are chasing free traffic that costs them thousands in wasted time and gets them nowhere.

I stopped doing that years ago.

Instead, I found a little-known automated traffic source that delivers 500+ quality leads per day at the push of a button.

It's 20X more profitable than Facebook or Instagram, and almost nobody is talking about it.

Tomorrow, January 15th at 9 PM EST, I'm showing you the complete 3-step system.

You'll see…

  • The exact traffic source I use to get 500+ quality leads a day

  • The one small tweak that lets me break even on virtually every campaign I run

  • And how to set this up so quality leads flow in on autopilot for any offer, product, or niche

This isn't for people looking for free traffic methods, but for people willing to take small calculated risks using the right source and strategy.

Just for showing up, you'll get my secret rolodex of quality traffic sources. These are the exact places I use to generate thousands of targeted visitors every day.

MINDSET MAKEOVER

AI Is Winning… Except at This One Thing

AI can give you a business plan, a content strategy, or even a full breakdown of your personality in less than a minute. So, just having information isn’t the edge it used to be.

What really sets people apart now isn’t what they know. It’s whether they can make a decision when there’s no guarantee, no certainty, and nobody else to blame if it goes wrong.

That’s the one thing AI still can’t do. It can’t commit, it can’t feel risk, and it can’t move forward unless everything is perfect.

Most people wait for clarity, confidence, or someone to give them permission before they do anything. That’s why they stay stuck. Those things only show up after you decide, not before.

You’re always one good decision away from being back on track, not a reset, not a breakthrough, and not some dramatic overhaul, just a single choice followed by action.

The moment you decide, something changes inside. First, you feel relief, then you get momentum, and then you start to feel proud because you’re finally moving instead of just thinking in circles.

This is where chasing better plans becomes a distraction, because AI can help you analyze and brainstorm all day long, but it will never choose for you when the outcome is uncertain.

So here’s the real advantage you still own: the ability to decide, act, and live with the consequences.

Today, your only job is to make one clear decision that moves you forward, and act on it before your brain opens another tab.

FOR YOUR LISTENING PLEASURE

How to Build Wealth in Real Estate Without Traditional Debt with Ron LeGrand

Most people think real estate wealth comes from flipping houses fast and bragging about it later, which is exactly why they miss the safer, quieter way money actually gets built.

In this List Building Lifestyle episode, I sat down with Ron LeGrand, who’s been doing this since 1982 and quietly stacked thousands of deals by focusing on one thing most investors ignore: terms.

Instead of begging banks or risking big down payments, Ron sets up deals where the financing comes with the property. That means less risk, more control, and steady cash flow every month. He’s done almost 3,000 deals this way, and he’s still clear that holding beats flipping in almost every market.

If you’re tired of strategies that only work on paper, this conversation might change how you think about real estate, and that’s a good thing.

Give it a listen and see how different slow, steady money feels when it’s actually predictable.

CURATED READS

Company of One by Paul Jarvis

This book challenged the idea that growth should always be the goal. Jarvis makes a calm but strong case for staying small on purpose and doing it in a way that actually makes money.

What makes it useful right now is that it reframes success as control, simplicity, and leverage, not headcount or chaos. Fewer moving parts mean better decisions, less burnout, and a business that actually serves your life instead of consuming it.

Read it if you ever feel pressure to scale just because everyone else is. It’ll remind you that being clear is better than just being bigger.

RIDDLE ME THIS

Can You Crack The Code?

The more you try to escape me, the heavier I become.
I don’t show up on calendars, but I decide how your days feel.
Most people carry me longer than they should.

What am I?

Think you've cracked the code? Reply to this email with your guess, and see if you're right!

I grow when shared,
Shrink when hoarded,
Make poor men rich,
And rich men bored.
I cost nothing,
Yet sell for millions.

The answer is: Knowledge.
