FROM MY WORLD
Emotional Bonfires: Are You Burning Cash?
Back in my early days, I was that guy—the “I’ve got the facts, now hand me your money” guy.
I genuinely thought people made decisions based on logic. You know, good old rational thinking.
Spoiler alert: They don’t.
And when I say “they,” I mean everyone. Your leads, your prospects, your spouse—hell, even your dog probably reacts more to emotion than reason.
See, I used to pitch my programs like a college professor with a caffeine addiction and a PowerPoint fetish. I'd load up on stats, proof, and “field-tested” results. I thought if I just gave people enough sense, they’d buy.
They didn’t.
What I didn’t get—what most marketers still don’t get—is that people make decisions emotionally and only justify them with logic after the fact.
Let that sink in for a second.
You’re not selling a product. You’re selling a feeling. A dream. A transformation. If you’re not tapping into that emotional core, you’re basically throwing your marketing dollars into a bonfire and dancing around it like a caveman.
Want proof? Go read one-star reviews on Amazon for best-selling books in your niche. No, seriously, do it. That’s where the real gold is. Those bitter, emotionally-fueled rants tell you exactly what your market fears, hates, desires, and obsesses over.
One guy left a one-star review on Tony Robbins’ Awaken the Giant Within because it didn’t deliver “immediate, dramatic results.” What he really meant was,
“I’m still broke, and this book didn’t magically fix my life overnight, so now I’m mad.”
Boom!!! Emotional trigger = revealed.
The truth? Logic is only useful after you’ve already won their heart. It's the napkin that wipes the tears after your copy just punched them in the feels.
So yeah, ditch the facts until the feelings are handled.
And remember this:
Great marketers don’t convince. They connect.

MY GIFT FOR YOU

MINDSET MAKEOVER
The Red Bull Pitch That Crashed
Let me take you back to a darker, dumber version of myself.
I was armed with spreadsheets. Charts. Bulletproof proof. Conversion stats, test results, testimonials from 13 beta users in 5 time zones.
And no sales.
Why? Because I believed the deadliest lie in marketing:
“People are logical.”
Spoiler alert: They’re not.
I don’t care how smart, educated, or “serious” your market is—nobody buys because of logic. They buy because of how something makes them feel. Then—and only then—they dig up some lame rational excuse to justify it.
“I need this software to streamline my operations.”
No. You just want to feel like a boss. Admit it.
“I’m investing in this program for long-term ROI.”
Nah. You want to stop feeling like a loser and finally win for once.
I used to vomit logic all over my audience. Like a professor hopped up on Red Bull, I’d pitch with precision. Use bullet points, baby. Facts stacked higher than your Aunt Sally’s Christmas fruitcake.
And it got me nowhere.
Here’s what finally woke me up:
I started reading one-star reviews on Amazon.
Yeah, you heard me right.
Turns out, people get real emotional when they’re pissed—and in those emotional rants lies
The truth.
The fears.
The dreams.
The pain.
Some dude left a review on Tony Robbins’ Awaken the Giant Within crying that the book didn’t give him “instant, dramatic results.”
Translation: “I’m still broke and too scared to admit it’s my fault.”
And that’s when it hit me…
If you want to lead people, sell to people, help people—you gotta meet them where they are.
Not where you think they should be. Where they actually are: stuck in fear, longing for change, desperate for a sign that they’re not hopeless.
That’s when your words matter.
That’s when your message hits.
So if you’re clinging to logic like it’s your marketing safety blanket…
It’s time to grow up. Emotion sells. Logic just makes your sales page look smart.

CURATED READS
How to Reprogram Your Brain’s ‘Lazy Default

If I could force every newbie marketer to read one book before they even think about opening a ClickFunnels account, Think and Grow Rich would be it.
This ain’t just a book—it’s a blueprint for building an unshakeable mindset.
Now, before you roll your eyes and say, “But Igor, that book’s older than my grandma’s VHS collection,” yeah, it is. But guess what? The principles inside are timeless. Because while tech changes, people don’t. Fear, desire, indecision, laziness—they’ve been screwing us over since the dawn of time.
What Napoleon Hill does so brilliantly is this:
He exposes all the mental landmines that sabotage your success and shows you how to reprogram your brain to play offense, not defense.
From burning desire to unwavering faith, from auto-suggestion to masterminds—Hill basically built the first “mindset funnel” long before it was a buzzword.
Read it. Re-read it. Highlight the hell out of it.
Then start living it.
You don’t “try” to think and grow rich.
You decide.
