FROM MY WORLD

From Tears to Transactions

Have you ever tried to argue with someone about buying something?

You lay out all the logical reasons why they need it, hitting them with facts, figures, and airtight arguments. And then... they walk away, still broke, still frustrated, and still not buying.

Why?

Because logic doesn’t sell. Emotion does.

Let me tell you a quick story that proves it.

A while back, my dad’s car broke down. It wasn’t totaled. Just needed some repairs. But instead of fixing it, what does he do?

He buys a brand-new car.

On credit.

Which he can’t afford.

Now, my dad isn’t dumb. He’s an engineer. He’s a smart guy. But when that car broke down, his emotional brain took over.

His logical brain? It just sat in the corner, twiddling its thumbs, waiting to be called on.

His emotional brain was already saying, “New car time!” His logical brain’s job? Justify it. So he crunched the numbers, convinced himself it made sense, and signed the dotted line.

And that’s exactly how your customers make buying decisions.

Every single person who buys from you makes the decision emotionally first. Then, their logical brain steps in to find reasons why it was the “smart” thing to do.

But here’s the crazy part…

Most marketers do the exact opposite.

They pitch with logic. They throw out features. They explain why their product is great. They talk to the rational brain… which is NOT in charge of making the decision.

No wonder so many of them struggle to make sales.

If you want to sell more, start where the decision starts: in the emotional brain.

Talk about desire, fear, frustration, and relief. Speak to their struggles. Show them the escape. Make them feel something.

And only THEN… once they’re already sold emotionally… give them the logic to justify their decision.

That’s how you sell anything.

And if you don’t believe me, just ask my dad.

Oh wait… he’s too busy figuring out how to pay for his new car.

MINDSET MAKEOVER

The Yawn vs. The Lean

Do you ever feel like no one gives a damn about your struggles?

Like you’re out here grinding, facing challenge after challenge, and the world just shrugs?

Well, here’s a hard truth: people don’t care about your struggles… unless there’s a story attached to them.

See, we’re wired for stories. Since the dawn of time, humans have gathered around fires, painted on cave walls, and passed down lessons through stories.

And in every great story, there’s one thing that makes people lean in: conflict.

Think about your favorite movie. If the hero started rich, successful, and happy and then just got richer, more successful, and happier, you’d be asleep in 10 minutes.

The struggle is what makes us care. It’s what makes us root for them.

The same goes for real life. If you want people to pay attention, to connect with you, to buy from you—you need to tell your story the right way.

Not as a random sob story.

Not as a list of struggles nobody asked for.

But as a structured, powerful, and emotionally charged journey that shows:

  • Who you were (identity)

  • What you struggled with (conflict)

  • What you discovered (solution)

  • What changed (result)

It’s the difference between saying:

  • “I was broke and now I make money online.” (boring, nobody cares)

Vs.

  • “I spent years struggling to pay my bills. One night, while staring at my near-empty bank account, I stumbled upon a weird little trick that completely changed how I make money. Within three months, I was making more than I did at my 9-to-5. Here’s what I did…”

Now, that? That grabs attention.

That makes people lean in.

And here’s the kicker… you don’t even need massive success to do this.

If you don’t have results yet, use someone else’s story—a customer, a testimonial, a case study.

The point is: that people don’t buy facts. They buy emotions. They buy transformation.

So stop hiding your struggles. Start structuring them.

Because the minute you turn your mess into a message… people will finally start listening.

CURATED READS

The Book That Slaps You Awake

Most people live trapped in two places: regret over the past and anxiety about the future.

And guess what? Neither of those places exist.

That’s the whole point of The Power of Now by Eckhart Tolle.

This book isn’t just another self-help fluff piece. It’s a wake-up call—the kind that makes you stop dead in your tracks and question how much of your life you’re actually living versus just thinking about living.

Tolle breaks down a simple but life-altering truth: your mind is your own worst enemy. It drags you through past failures and future worries, keeping you from the only thing that’s real—this moment.

If you’ve ever felt overwhelmed, constantly overthinking, or stuck in a cycle of stress, this book will shake you up. Hard.

It’s not about motivation. It’s about liberation.

You don’t have to meditate on a mountain for ten years to find peace. You just have to stop living in your head and start living in the now.

Read it. Absorb it. Apply it.

And watch how life stops feeling like a never-ending struggle and starts feeling insanely simple.
