FROM MY WORLD

Heart Buys, Mind Justifies

People love to think they’re logical.
They like to believe that every decision they make is carefully weighed, rationalized, and backed by facts.

But you and I both know—that’s complete BS.

Nobody buys with logic.
Every single purchase, from a $5 coffee to a $50,000 car, starts with an emotional impulse and is later justified with logic.

Want proof?

Here’s a story about my dad.

The man is an engineer—smart, methodical, and precise.
But when his old car broke down, instead of spending $200 to fix it, he decided, “Screw it, I need a new car.”

Now, could he afford a new car?
No.
Did he run the numbers?
Yes—but only to convince himself he could afford it.

He maxed out what the bank would give him, bought the most expensive car he could get, and the very next day…

He realized he was screwed.
Insurance. Extra fees. Costs he hadn’t accounted for.
Suddenly, his “smart decision” turned into a financial disaster.

So what does this have to do with marketing?

Everything.

Because most marketers sell the way they think people buy—logically.
They throw facts, figures, and rational arguments at prospects, hoping it’ll convince them to buy.

But that’s NOT how buying decisions happen.

People buy because of fear, desire, excitement, insecurity, status, or FOMO.
Then they use logic to justify it.

So if your marketing isn’t tapping into emotions, you’re leaving a fortune on the table.

Ask yourself:

  • Does your marketing trigger an emotional reaction?

  • Are you addressing fears and frustrations your prospect feels every day?

  • Are you creating excitement, urgency, or status appeal?

If not, you’re fighting an uphill battle.

MINDSET MAKEOVER

Rich People Collect ‘No’s’ Like Gold

Do you ever notice how people will do anything to avoid rejection?

They won’t ask for a raise…
They won’t strike up a conversation with someone they admire…
And in business?
They won’t even talk to a potential customer.

They’re so terrified of hearing “no” that they’d rather stay broke than risk it.

Here’s the truth:

Rejection isn’t what’s stopping you from making money—fear of rejection is.

People say they want to make high-ticket sales.
They dream about closing $3K, $5K, and $10K deals.
But when it comes to hopping on a 5-minute call to answer a prospect’s questions?

Suddenly, they’re out.

Here’s what most people don’t get…

The people who buy expensive things WANT to talk to someone first.
They’re already interested—they just need a little reassurance.

You don’t have to be a master salesperson.
You don’t need Jedi mind tricks.
You need to listen and be a real human.

Because here’s the real secret to making more money:

The more rejection you can handle, the richer you’ll get.

Every “no” brings you one-step closer to a “yes.”
And if you’re not getting any “no’s”?
You’re not trying hard enough.

So here’s your challenge:

Next time you feel that fear creeping in, lean into it.
Make the call.
Send the email.
Have the conversation.

Because the fastest way to success isn’t avoiding rejection—it’s embracing it.

CURATED READS

The Tiny Book That’ll Make You a Sales and Influence Machine

Imagine if you could influence anyone with just one sentence.

Sounds crazy, right?

Well, Blair Warren breaks it down in The One-Sentence Persuasion Course, revealing the five key principles that make people follow, trust, and buy—without force or manipulation.

Here’s the sentence that sums it all up:

"People will do anything for those who encourage their dreams, justify their failures, allay their fears, confirm their suspicions, and help them throw rocks at their enemies."

Think about it. Every powerful marketer, politician, or cult leader follows this formula to gain influence.
And if you’re in sales, marketing, or business? This is pure gold.

The best part? It’s a short, punchy read that delivers decades of persuasion knowledge in under an hour.

If you want to sell more, influence better, and connect deeper—this book is a must.

Grab a copy and start bending minds to your will (ethically, of course).
