FROM MY WORLD
Moldova, Disney, and a $500 Twist I Never Saw Coming…
You ever give someone a hand… and years later, they end up saving your butt?
That’s not a hypothetical.
A while ago, I was running a coaching program where I helped folks break into the agency game. On one of the usual Zoom calls, I met this dude from Moldova—yes, that little Eastern European country that’s famous for two things: being between Romania and Ukraine, and wine so good it could make a nun cuss.
Now this guy—let’s call him DJ Moldovan—had just had a stroke. One side of his face had literally stopped working. Hosting events? Out. DJ-ing? Still doing it, but barely covering rent.
He tells me his dream is to take his wife and kid to Disney in France. The whole thing would cost around $500. I don't know why, but right then and there, I PayPal’d him the money.
No strings. No pitch. No upsell. Just go to Disney, man.
He cried. I didn’t even remember that until he told me recently.
Fast forward to today… I haven’t spoken to the guy in five years. And guess where my wife and kids are staying right now because of a visa emergency?
Yep. Moldova.
With HIM.
He picked them up, fed them, housed them, and introduced my daughter to his dog (bonus: she wants a dog now, and I’m the bad guy again).
I could’ve dropped five figures flying them back to Canada. Instead, they’re safe, happy, and two hours away from me.
All because of a random act of generosity that I barely remember doing.
Here’s what hit me like a freight train:
How you show up at the beginning of a relationship can echo back years later—when you least expect it.
You never know when someone becomes a key chapter in your story. And if the start of that story is built on trust, kindness, or just doing the right damn thing... that chapter might turn out to be gold.
So, whether it’s a JV partner, a student, or the girl at Burger King who ghosted you but randomly reappears at the post office (yes, that happened too), remember this:
Relationships are not about what you get.
They’re about what you give... and when you give it.
Because every once in a while, giving something small creates a ripple you’ll thank yourself for—years later.

MINDSET MAKEOVER
How I Used Dopamine Like a Drug Dealer (Legally)
Ever wonder why most people bail on online courses faster than a Tinder date gone wrong?
Here’s the dirty little secret: it’s not because the course sucks… it’s because the structure does.
Most people build their programs the way a school teacher builds a lesson plan: step-by-step, logical, informative.
You know, the kind of stuff that makes you wanna take a nap by step two.
But here’s the truth your broke college professor never told you:
People don’t want logic. They want wins. Fast. Easy. And often.
That’s the real juice behind what’s called the “experience product” model. Instead of boring your students with background noise and “context,” you give them one clear, emotional, photogenic mission.
Something they can visualize winning, like Rocky climbing the steps.
And the first step?
Make it dead-simple.
Buy a domain.
Write down a dream list.
Step to the left, step to the right — remember Dance Dance Revolution?
You’re not dumbing it down — you’re building momentum.
Why? Because success isn’t a mountain climb. It’s a video game.
And the first level? It’s gotta make people feel like superheroes.
Because once someone feels like a winner, they’re hooked. The game’s on. And they keep coming back for the next hit.
This isn’t just about learning. It’s about transforming.
So next time you build a program, pitch an offer, or even coach someone...
Forget logic. Serve wins.
You’ll thank me when your clients start referring, renewing, and raving — instead of ghosting.

FOR YOUR LISTENING PLEASURE
Designing a Life You Don’t Need a Vacation From With Craig Ballantyne
In this episode, I’m joined by the “World’s Most Disciplined Man,” Craig Ballantyne, a performance coach, bestselling author, and the guy who’s helped thousands of entrepreneurs cut through the noise and take back control of their lives.
Craig is here to flip the script on everything you think you know about discipline, productivity, and focus.
We dig into why most people stay stuck, even when they’re grinding hard. From chasing trends to falling for distraction traps, Craig breaks down how we lose sight of what truly matters and how to get it back.
He offers a new lens on what real success and freedom actually look like. If you’re tired of doing “all the right things” and still feeling stuck, this is mentorship at its finest, and you won’t want to miss it.

CURATED READS
“The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People” by Stephen Covey
Look, I know this book is old. Like, "came out when fax machines were a thing," old.
But here’s the kicker...
It still punches harder than 99% of the productivity books on your shelf.
Because Covey doesn’t just tell you how to get more done. He shows you how to become someone who gets the right things done.
And that’s a massive difference.
Most people are reactive. Stuck in email, drowning in busywork, flailing in a sea of to-do lists.
Covey hands you the blueprint to flip the script—to go from scattered and stressed to focused and freaking unstoppable.
It’s not about hacks. It’s about identity.
Who are you?
What do you value?
How do you show up?
Habit 1 alone—Be Proactive—is a mindset nuke that’ll shatter your excuses and light a fire under your seat.
If you’ve never read it, now’s the time.
If you have read it… Read it again. This time, with highlighters and a vengeance.
