FROM MY WORLD

Patience Isn’t Passive

Ever tried to convince someone to buy from you, but they just wouldn’t pull the trigger?

You followed all the "instant influence" tricks—mirroring their body language, using the right tone, maybe even throwing in some NLP voodoo…

Yet, crickets.

Here’s the truth:

  • Most persuasion "gurus" miss one of the biggest influence factors of all time.

Yep, the simple passage of time is one of the most powerful persuasion tools at your disposal.

Think about it…

Have you ever met someone and, within seconds, trusted them with your deepest secrets? Or handed them a fat stack of cash?

Probably not.

Real trust takes time. In business, your prospects need time to warm up to you before they buy.

I recently had a guy email me about coaching. He’d been following my podcast for months, hearing about me from others, researching my methods… and only then did he reach out.

He wasn’t broke. He wasn’t hesitant about investing. He just needed time.

And that’s normal.

Yet, so many marketers ignore this. They run an ad, expect instant sales, and if it doesn’t happen? They jump ship to the next shiny business opportunity.

Big mistake.

Instead of expecting overnight conversions, you need to build a relationship over time.

One way to speed this up? Hit your prospects from email, podcasts, Facebook, and YouTube. The more they see you, the more familiar you become, and the faster they trust you.

This doesn’t mean everyone will buy right away. But when you stop treating sales like a one-night stand and start seeing it as a long-term relationship, you’ll win more customers and keep them longer.

So, next time you're frustrated by slow conversions, ask yourself:

Am I giving my prospects enough time to trust me?

Because persuasion isn't just about what you say.

It’s about how long you let it sink in.

MINDSET MAKEOVER

The Delusion That Dooms Most Ventures

Most people fail in business not because they don’t have the right tactics…

But because they’re too scared to start.

They spend months, even years, waiting for the "perfect plan." The perfect funnel, the perfect email, the perfect offer.

And guess what?

They never launch anything.

That’s why one of the most powerful mindset shifts you can make is this:

You don’t have to get it right. You just have to get it going.

When I first started, I didn’t have a fancy system.

I didn’t have high-tech funnels.

Hell, I didn’t even know what I was doing most of the time.

But I did something.

Every. Single. Day.

Because the truth is, you learn by doing.

The only way to succeed is to put in the reps. You don’t get strong by watching workout videos—you get strong by lifting the damn weights.

This is where most people fail. They think they need to "know everything" before taking action.

But business is a moving target. Strategies evolve. Platforms change. Trends come and go.

So if you wait until you "have it all figured out," you’ll never start.

The real secret?

Start messy. Adjust as you go. Fail fast. Learn faster.

Because action is what creates clarity.

  • Not more thinking.

  • Not more planning.

  • Not more "waiting for the right time."

So stop overthinking. Start moving.

Because success doesn’t come to those who wait.

It comes to those who take action.

CURATED READS

Stop Pushing—Start Removing Friction Instead

Ever wonder why some ideas take off like wildfire while others die a slow, painful death?

It’s not because of a lack of innovation.

It’s because of friction.

In The Human Element, David Schonthal and Loran Nordgren reveal a brutal truth: People don’t resist change because they hate new ideas… they resist because change feels hard.

And if you want to sell your product, service, or even just an idea, you need to remove that friction.

This book is a game-changer for marketers, salespeople, and anyone who wants to influence others.

Instead of just focusing on why people should say yes, it teaches you how to eliminate the hidden forces making them say no.

If you’ve ever struggled to get people to take action—whether it’s buying from you, joining your list, or even just clicking your damn link—this book will open your eyes to the real reason people hesitate.

Trust me, this one’s worth the read.
