Most people think selling is about hyping up a product.

Tell people what it does.
Show them how it works.
Convince them that it’s the best thing since sliced bread.

Sounds logical, right?

Wrong.

If that’s all you’re doing, you’re leaving a truckload of cash on the table.

Because here’s the truth that 99% of marketers don’t want to admit: People don’t buy when they see a solution. They buy when they feel the pain.

Think about it.

When do people finally go on a diet?
When their doctor tells them they’re one burger away from a heart attack.

When do they finally start a business?
When they’re staring at their bank account wondering how to make rent.

When does a coaching client actually take action?
When they feel like their life is crumbling and they have no choice but to change.

Pain moves people. And if you’re not tapping into it in your marketing, you’re just another voice in the noise.

I learned this the hard way.

Back when I was selling high-ticket coaching, I noticed something weird. Some clients would pay me $15,000… and then do absolutely NOTHING.

Zero. Nada. Not even a single funnel built.

Meanwhile, others would go all in. Build funnels. Write emails. Take massive action.

What was the difference?

Pain.

The ones who took action were the ones with the most at stake.
The ones drowning in debt.
The ones who were months away from having a baby and needed to make it work.

So I changed my sales process. Instead of just “selling,” I started rubbing salt in the wound.

I made them feel the weight of their situation. The urgency. The fear.

And guess what? My conversions doubled.

Not just because I made more sales—but because my clients actually got results.

If you’re struggling to make sales, ask yourself this:

Are you really hitting the pain?

Or are you just “educating” and hoping people connect the dots?

Because I’ll tell you this—until the pain is real, until it’s unbearable, your prospects won’t move.

Make them feel it. Then, and only then, will they be ready for your solution.
