I still invest in ads, don’t get me wrong. But if I had to bet my business on one strategy, it’d be relationships.

Stop Babying Your Leads

Let me guess… You’re afraid to sell.

You think if you go straight for the offer, people will hate you. They’ll unsubscribe. They’ll call you greedy.

So you “sweeten the pot.” You give away freebie after freebie, hoping that one day they’ll feel so grateful that they finally whip out their credit card and buy.

Big mistake.

If all you do is give free stuff, you train your audience to expect free stuff. And when you finally do ask for the sale? They ghost you.

I’ve done it both ways. And I can tell you, the smartest, most profitable thing you can do is sell early and often.

Not only does this train your list to expect offers, but it also weeds out the freeloaders who were never going to buy in the first place.

And here’s the real kicker… People LOVE to buy.

I just dropped $3,000 on AC/DC concert tickets. When I hit that “Buy” button, my heart was racing. I was pumped.

Sure, I still had to pay for flights, a hotel, and a babysitter, but none of that mattered. I wanted those tickets, and I was willing to pay the price.

Same goes for your audience. If you’ve got the right offer for the right market, they want to buy from you. They don’t need to be tricked or softened up with endless freebies.

So stop tiptoeing around your sales. Your business isn’t a charity, and your “oxygen mask” is cash flow.
