FROM MY WORLD

The Art of Strategic Ego

So, I’m an asshole.

No, really. I saw a text my wife got from one of her friends, and it said:

“Igor is such an asshole. He needs to get off his pedestal.”

Now, my first reaction? Shock. Horror. Absolute despair.

Just kidding. My first reaction was, Wait… I have a pedestal?!

Because let’s be real—having a pedestal in marketing is a good thing. If you DON’T have one, you’re doing it wrong.

Most people play it safe. They want to be normal, humble, relatable. And you know what normal gets you? Ignored.

In the marketing world, being ordinary is the fastest way to never make a dime. The game is all about positioning yourself as a larger-than-life figure—someone people admire, follow, and trust with their wallets.

Think about the greats: Donald Trump, Tony Robbins, Gary Halbert, Frank Sinatra, Andre the Giant. All of them mastered the art of self-aggrandizement.

Gary Halbert once said, “We’re in the self-aggrandizement business.” And he was right.

Because if you don’t toot your own horn, who will?

How to Become a Marketing Giant (Even If You Feel Like a Nobody Right Now)

  • Claim a Title. You think I just woke up one day, and people started calling me “The Prince of List Building”? No, I claimed that title. I put it in my emails, my podcast, and my sales letters. And guess what? It stuck. One of my students, Desmond, started calling himself “The Shogun of Progress.” Now, THAT’S a name people remember.

  • Create a Signature Ritual. WWE wrestlers have entrance songs. Cult leaders have chants. You need something that makes people feel like they’re part of a movement. Maybe it’s a phrase, a handshake, a way you open your emails. It all adds to your mystique.

  • Write a Book. I don’t care if it’s 50 pages long. Slap it on Amazon, call yourself an author, and watch how people take you 10 times more seriously.

  • Limit Your Accessibility. The guru at the top of the mountain is the one people want to meet. The guy handing out flyers on the street? Not so much. Have an assistant. Even if it’s just you using a fake email address named [email protected], it makes you seem in demand.

  • Tell Stories About Yourself. Look at any major figure in history. They all have stories. Jesus, Batman, Steve Jobs—legends are built on stories. If you don’t have any, manufacture them. (Ethically, of course.)

At the end of the day, if you want an extraordinary life, you have to market yourself as an exceptional person.

If you’re still stuck in the “I just want to be myself” mindset, I have one question:

Why are you even here?

Because if you’re not willing to step up, claim a title, and own your pedestal… You might as well quit now.

MINDSET MAKEOVER

Limits Are Liabilities

Let me guess…

You’ve got this number in your head—$10,000 a month.

That’s the magic number, right? The dream. The goal. The milestone that will fix everything.

Well, let me tell you something that might sting a little.

That number is keeping you broke.

I used to think the same way. Back when I was just getting started, my big, audacious goal was to make $100 a day. I’d write it in my affirmations notebook every night, whisper it to myself before bed, and even fantasize about how life-changing it would be.

And then one day, I hit it.

You’d think I’d be ecstatic, right?

Nope.

Because the moment you reach your "dream number," two things happen:

  • If you don’t hit it, you feel like a failure. Every month becomes this soul-crushing cycle of trying to reach a number that constantly mocks you.

  • If you do hit it, you get bored. The excitement wears off, and suddenly, you’re stuck in a loop, wondering why you don’t feel as successful as you thought you would.

Your Goals Are Too Small. Period.

Most people set "realistic" goals. And that’s exactly why they stay stuck.

$10K/month isn’t a dream. It’s a box.

It’s a cap on your potential. A limit you’ve subconsciously placed on yourself.

When you shoot for $10K, that’s the most you’ll ever make.

Do you know what successful people do differently?

They set outrageous goals. Numbers so big they feel uncomfortable. Goals that force them to grow, to build teams, to think beyond their skills and abilities.

If your goal doesn’t make you a little queasy… it’s too damn small.

The Real Secret to Breaking Through Your Financial Ceiling

Want to know why you’re stuck?

It’s not because you don’t work hard enough.

It’s because you’re focusing on the money instead of the skills.

Money is just the measuring stick. It’s the scoreboard. But if you don’t get better at the game, the scoreboard will never move.

Ask yourself:

  • Are you actively developing new skills that increase your value?

  • Are you training every day like an athlete, obsessively getting better at one thing?

  • Are you surrounding yourself with people who think bigger than you?

If the answer is no, you’re playing small.

Here’s What You Need to Do (Right Now)

  • Scrap the $10K/month mindset. It’s garbage. Set a goal so big it scares you.

  • Get obsessed with a skill. Marketing, copywriting, sales—something that makes money flow to you effortlessly.

  • Change your circle. Stop talking business with friends and family who don’t get it. Find people who are already where you want to be.

  • Commit to daily training. You wouldn’t expect to be an Olympic athlete by practicing once a week. Why would you expect to be a millionaire by working on your skills "when you have time"?

The truth is that most people are too lazy to do this.

They want the money without the grind. They want results without the work.

And that’s why they stay stuck at $10K.

Are you ready to break free?

Or are you going to stay in the box?
