FROM MY WORLD
The Introvert’s Guide to Million-Dollar Handshakes
That’s what I used to tell myself. After all, I’m an introvert. Talking to strangers, making small talk, pretending to care about someone’s cat photos on Facebook? Not exactly my idea of fun.
But here’s the kicker… I was dead wrong.
The truth is, networking done right is the secret fuel behind some of my biggest business wins. The trick isn’t to shake as many hands as possible or collect business cards like Pokémon. Nope. The trick is being selective.
If you’re in e-com, you want suppliers who can give you an edge, copywriters who know how to make words sell, and media buyers who can turn a dollar into two. If you’re in affiliate marketing, your goldmine might be the relationships you build with platform insiders and account managers who can open doors others don’t even know exist.
That’s the power of strategic networking.
And here’s something most gurus won’t admit: even introverts like me can crush it in networking—if you learn how to play the long game.
At a recent event, I met a guy deep in the e-com trenches. At first glance, zero overlap with what I do. But here’s the thing: one handshake often leads to another. That “random” e-com guy might know someone who becomes a key connection down the line.
Networking is a lot like planting seeds. Most won’t sprout right away. Some never will. But every once in a while, one grows into a money tree that changes your entire business.
And yes, I pay the price. After a big networking trip, I need about a week to crawl back into my cave, recharge with espresso, and pretend I don’t exist. But it’s worth it. Because one handshake today could mean a six-figure payday six months from now.
So here’s the question I’ll leave you with:
Are you “networking for the sake of networking”? Or are you planting the kind of seeds that actually grow?

MINDSET MAKEOVER
Conversations Are Chess, Not Boxing
Life is basically one long series of conversations where everyone’s secretly trying to get what they want.
You want the client to sign.
Your spouse wants you to take out the trash.
Your kid wants ice cream at 10 PM.
Same game, different stakes.
Now, most people play this game wrong because they think the goal is to force agreement. But the real winners? They play by a different set of rules:
Rule #1: Stop chasing “yes.”
“Yes” is overrated. It’s the answer people give just to get rid of you. The real magic happens when someone feels safe enough to say “no.” That’s when the masks drop and honesty walks in the room.
Rule #2: Acknowledge the storm.
When someone’s upset, you can’t bulldoze through their feelings. Try it—you’ll crash every time. The smarter move? Name what they’re feeling. “Sounds like this is stressing you out.” Instantly, tension drops. Misread them? Even better—they’ll correct you, and now you know the truth.
Rule #3: Slow your roll.
Most people rush through conversations like they’re trying to speedrun life. But if you pause… if you give space… the other person will usually fill the silence by revealing what they really want. (And it’s rarely what they said at the start.)
Rule #4: Ask more.
This one’s almost embarrassing. Most people don’t ask for what they want. They hint. They hope. They pray the universe will read their vibes. Spoiler: it won’t. If you want something, ask. Then ask again. The worst you’ll hear is “no.” And we already know that’s not the end—it’s the beginning.
Here’s the punchline: Success in life doesn’t come from pushing harder—it comes from listening better, slowing down, and not being afraid of rejection.
The ones who master this don’t just “win deals.” They win arguments, opportunities, and yes—even that last slice of pizza.

CURATED READS
The Art of Living by Epictetus.
Most business books scream the same old tune: “Hustle harder! Work 18 hours a day! Sleep is for losers!”
But here’s the problem—what’s the point of building a business if you’re miserable while doing it?
That’s why I want to hand you a book that has nothing to do with marketing funnels, email sequences, or ad hacks… and everything to do with living a sane, grounded, and powerful life: The Art of Living by Epictetus.
Epictetus was a former slave turned philosopher who basically became the OG mindset coach… except instead of charging $10k for a mastermind, his teachings survived for 2,000 years and still kick modern self-help in the teeth.
The book is short, simple, and to the point. No fluff. No jargon. Just practical wisdom on how to:
Stay calm when chaos hits (perfect for when Facebook shuts down your ad account).
Focus only on what you can control (and stop stressing over the rest).
Build resilience so setbacks don’t destroy your momentum.
I keep coming back to this book whenever life throws a curveball. It’s like a reset button for your brain.
If you’re serious about not just making money, but actually enjoying the ride—this book will slap you with timeless truths you can use right now.
Pro tip: Don’t just read it once. Keep it on your nightstand and dip back in whenever you need a reality check.
