FROM MY WORLD

Are You Competing or Just Complaining?

Let’s talk about competition—that dirty word that makes most entrepreneurs break out in a cold sweat.

How many times have you heard someone say, “I don’t want to start a business because the market is too competitive”?

Guess what? That’s exactly why you SHOULD jump in.

See, competition is proof that money is flowing. No competition? No demand. No demand? No cash. And that’s not a business, that’s a hobby.

But here’s the real question: How do you handle competition?

Do you:

  • Shrink in fear, telling yourself there’s no room for you?

  • Respect them, but keep a healthy distance?

  • Or do you go full-blown gladiator mode and make it your mission to CRUSH them?

For me, competition has never been just a friendly game. As a kid, I would stop talking to friends for a week if they beat me in basketball. Petty? Maybe. But that fire pushed me to build a business that dominates.

The truth? Winning isn’t everything—but the WILLINGNESS to win is.

Look at Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo. They’re legendary because they push each other to be better. The same goes for business. Your competitors can either:

 -  Make you level up your game
-  Or make you curl up in a ball and quit

But here’s where most people get it WRONG. They either ignore the competition or copy it. Both are deadly mistakes.

Instead, study the winners. Get on their lists. Buy their products. Reverse-engineer their success.
But whatever you do—DON’T BE A COPYCAT.

Seriously. I’ve had people steal my exact emails, sales pages, and even testimonials. And guess what? They never last. Because copying isn’t understanding.

The key is modeling, not mimicking. You take the winning concepts, adapt them, and make them your own. That’s how you stand out. That’s how you dominate.

Business isn’t a zero-sum game. There’s always room for you if you create something valuable. So stop making excuses, pick your lane, and start running.

Because while you’re over there debating whether the market is too competitive, someone else is out there crushing it.

MINDSET MAKEOVER

The Lazy Man’s Disease That’s Costing You a Fortune

Let me introduce you to the #1 dream killer in business.

No, it’s not a lack of talent.
Not bad ideas.
Not even a terrible market.

It’s procrastination.

See, when people hit your sales funnel, they fall into three groups:

  • The instant buyers – those who see your offer and pounce.

  • The hard NOs – people who know it’s not for them.

  • And then… the 90% in between.

This last group? They sit there, waffling. They like your offer and are interested, but they tell themselves, “I’ll decide later.”

Translation: They won’t decide at all.

That’s because delay kills action. And without action? No sales. No business. No freedom.

This is why scarcity works like magic.

When people believe they might lose something, they suddenly want it more. It’s called the Endowment Effect—once people feel like they own something, losing it hurts more than never having it in the first place.

Ever seen someone hoard hotel shampoo they’ll never use? That’s the Endowment Effect in action.

It’s also why fake urgency is the worst thing you can do. Some marketers put up those “Only 5 spots left!” banners that reset every time you refresh the page.

That’s bullshit scarcity, and it destroys trust.

Real scarcity, when done right, forces decisions and makes people take action.

In fact, when I ran a special deal on traffic, 60% of the buyers waited until the last two hours before pulling the trigger. Why? Because the deadline forced them to choose: commit or miss out.

So here’s the mindset shift you need:

If you struggle with indecision, hesitation, or waiting for the “perfect” time—you’re playing yourself.

Success belongs to those who ACT.

There will never be a perfect moment. There will never be a risk-free decision.

So stop waiting. Start doing.

Because while you’re still thinking about it?

Someone else is out there winning.
