FROM MY WORLD
The Traffic Heist
You think you’re smart. You think you’ve seen it all. Then, BAM—you get scammed right under your nose.
That’s exactly what happened to me a few years back.
Picture this: I meet a guy at a marketing event. Seemed decent. Knew the lingo. Even had a firm handshake.
So, I did what any seasoned marketer would do—I ran a small test campaign with him. 1,000 clicks. Everything checked out.
I scaled. Big.
Over the next few months, I sent this dude over $10,000 for traffic.
And that’s when things started getting... weird.
Sales were down. Open rates were trash. Something smelled off.
So, I did some digging.
First, I checked my conversions. Then, I pulled up Hotjar—a tool that records visitor behavior on your site.
And what I saw made my stomach drop.
The traffic looked real. U.S. IPs. Mobile users. Opt-ins. Everything seemed legit.
But then, every single one of these "leads" did the exact same thing.
They’d opt in. Hit my sales page. Scroll straight to the bottom in 1.5 seconds.
Then... poof. Gone.
Bot traffic.
I cross-checked the email addresses. None of them were even deliverable.
I had paid ten grand for a glorified magic trick—fake leads that never existed.
Lucky for me, I had proof. The Hotjar videos. The IP logs. The bounced emails.
So I confronted the guy. Demanded my money back. And since I had him dead to rights, he refunded me.
Not everyone is so lucky.
Fake traffic scams like this happen every day, and most marketers have no clue they’re getting ripped off.
So here’s how to protect yourself:
Use real-time email validation – If the email is fake, it won’t even get on your list. (Igor Solo Ads does this automatically for customers.)
Watch your open rates like a hawk – If nobody’s opening, something’s wrong.
Check your sales data regularly – If your opt-in rate looks great but your sales tank, dig deeper.
Use tools like Hotjar – They help you catch sketchy behavior before it costs you thousands.
Most people think they’re safe because the traffic seller has testimonials or a slick website.
But I promise you 99% of buyers don’t know how to spot fake traffic.
And that’s exactly what scammers are betting on.
So do yourself a favor: verify, track, and never trust blindly.
Stay sharp,
Igor

MINDSET MAKEOVER
You Want the Crown? Pay the Price
Have you ever noticed how the world LOVES to glorify success stories?
We hear about the guy who went from broke to millionaire. The woman who built an empire from her bedroom. The kid who dropped out of college and created the next billion-dollar app.
But what we DON’T hear about?
The price they paid to get there.
Success isn’t free. It’s not even cheap. It’s a ruthless collector, and it demands payment in full—upfront.
Late nights grinding while your friends are out partying.
Failing (publicly) over and over until you get it right.
Dealing with the self-doubt that whispers, “What if this doesn’t work?”
Most people aren’t willing to pay. They WANT success, but they also want comfort. They want to stay in their cozy bubble, where there’s
No risk
No pain
No sacrifice.
But here’s the deal:
You either pay the price for success or you pay the price for staying the same.
One costs you struggle, discomfort, and uncertainty.
The other costs you your dreams.
So the real question isn’t “Can I succeed?”
It’s “Am I willing to pay what it costs?”
Because once you decide that success is non-negotiable, that’s when you start making real moves.
Which price are YOU willing to pay?

CURATED READS
From Crickets to Customers—Here’s How

Most people start a business like this:
They spend months (or years) perfecting an idea.
They build a fancy website, logo, and product.
They finally launch… and hear crickets.
Heartbreaking, right?
That’s exactly why Eric Ries wrote "The Lean Startup."
His method flips traditional business-building on its head. Instead of wasting time and money on something nobody wants, he teaches you how to fail fast, pivot faster, and build something that actually sells.
The core idea? Launch small, test constantly, and adapt based on real feedback.
No more guessing. No more assumptions. Just real data that tells you what works (and what’s a dumpster fire).
If you’re serious about starting a business that doesn’t crash and burn, this book is your roadmap.
Read it. Apply it. Thank me later.
