FROM MY WORLD

Why I Yanked My Kid Out of School

Let me ask you a dangerous question:

What if school isn't broken... but working exactly as it was designed?

Yeah, I know. That’s a spicy take. But stick with me.

See, I had a moment—not too long ago—where I found myself standing behind my daughter during one of her “online classes.” She was enrolled in a private school at the time. We’re talking $1,500 a month. And I’m watching what they’re doing on Zoom...

I was fuming.

They weren’t teaching her jack. Nothing practical. Nothing real. Just more of the same rinse-and-repeat nonsense that’s been churning out mindless workers since the Industrial Revolution.

You know what they didn’t teach her?

  • What a credit score is.

  • How to manage money.

  • How to code.

  • How to talk to people and connect like a human.

  • How to think critically without being told what to think.

So I did what any pissed-off entrepreneur dad would do.

I pulled her out. Built my own damn curriculum.

Started with games that sneak in coding lessons—yes, there are games out there that teach parameters, functions, and logic like it’s Mario Kart for your brain. Then I enrolled her in White Hat Junior (now called something less cool), where they teach kids how to build mobile apps, mess with AI, and code circles around your average college grad.

At 10 years old, my daughter has clocked 200+ hours coding. She built an app that uses your webcam to correct your karate stance. No joke. It’s like the tech version of Mr. Miyagi.

And here’s the kicker:
By the time she’s 18, she’ll know how to write copy, sell, lead, manage her emotions, and think like a boss.

All because I refused to let her be another cog in the damn machine.

The system isn’t designed to raise leaders.
It’s designed to raise obedient workers.
The kind that won’t question a 40-year mortgage or a 9-to-5 they hate.

But I’m not raising a worker. I’m raising a warrior.

That’s why my passion project—someday—is to build a school. Not a glorified babysitting service. A real school. One that teaches kids how the world works. One that arms them with life skills instead of busywork.

And maybe, just maybe... if enough of us wake up, we can flip the whole system on its head.

Because our kids deserve better than mediocrity disguised as “education.”

MY GIFT FOR YOU

What’s $3.99 Worth to You?

There’s a window in every online entrepreneur’s life where they ask:

“Why the hell am I working so hard… and still not making real money?”

I hit that wall years ago. Then I built something that flipped the script.

I wrote this short book to show you exactly what I did — the system I still use today to turn emails into income, without chasing trends or dancing for clicks.

And yeah — it costs less than gas to get to work.

But don’t let the price fool you.

This isn’t a book you buy. It’s a fork in the road.

MINDSET MAKEOVER

The One Question That Kills Cluttered Copy

There’s a trap that eats marketers for breakfast.

It’s the same one that swallows up coaches, content creators, and course-selling “gurus” who think cleverness is a virtue.

It’s the trap of complexity.

You know the one. You launch an ad, sales page, or email, and you stuff it full of benefits. "Our supplement detoxes your liver, clears your skin, improves brain fog, burns fat, AND makes you irresistible to members of the opposite sex!"

Spoiler alert: nobody buys.

Because while you're trying to sound impressive, your audience is scratching their heads like, “What the hell is this even about?”

Here’s the truth bomb most people in our space don’t want to hear:

Confused minds don’t convert.

You think being detailed shows how awesome your offer is. But what it really does is dump a wheelbarrow of “meh” onto your reader’s brain.

What converts?
One idea. One hook. One emotional chord. Played like a damn symphony.

That’s the real secret sauce. The best in the biz don’t throw spaghetti at the wall. They zero in like snipers.

Instead of listing five benefits, they wrap everything around one big idea. Something that creates an itch… a curiosity that has to be scratched. The kind that drives people to click, scroll, and devour every word like it’s the last slice of pizza.

I’m talking about clarity + curiosity. Not just in your copy—but in your mindset.

If your brain is cluttered, your message will be too. If you're unsure what the one thing is, your prospect sure as hell won’t figure it out for you.

Want a quick fix?
Ask yourself this before you write a single word:
“What’s the ONE feeling I want to evoke?”

Make it simple. Make it sharp. Make it hit like a Mike Tyson uppercut.
Because if your idea can’t pass the “10-second test,” it won’t survive the inbox war.

So next time you're tempted to show off everything your offer can do, stop.

Pick one. And punch hard.

CURATED READS

“Thinking Inside the Box” by Adrienne Raphel

Let me be straight with you: this book is not about business.
It’s about crosswords.

Yeah, those little black-and-white grids your grandma probably crushed with her morning tea.

But here’s why I’m recommending it anyway...

Because Thinking Inside the Box isn’t just a quirky history of the crossword puzzle—it’s a masterclass in the power of constraints.

See, too many people think freedom equals success. “If I could do anything, I’d make millions!” they say.

Wrong.

It’s the box—the limitations, the rules, the structure—that actually fuels genius.
Every crossword puzzle forces you to work within tight boundaries. You only have so many letters. One wrong turn, and everything else falls apart.

Sound familiar?

That’s exactly what it’s like writing an ad, crafting a hook, or building an offer that converts.
Structure forces creativity.

Adrienne Raphel gets it. She dives into how the mind dances inside those little boxes—and why that dance is exactly what builds brilliance.

If you want a book that’ll stretch your brain, give you a fresh perspective on creativity, and maybe even inspire your next killer headline?

This one’s it.
